Rhonda

Hi everyone I’m Rhonda, the face behind *It’s a Small World blog*. Growing up in Los Angeles we visited Disneyland on a regular basis before “Annual Passes”. I have magical memories growing up at Disneyland with my dad, who handed down his love of Disneyland to me. His first visit was when he was 18 in 1962. My first visit was at 18 months old. I grew up in Downey – 14 miles from Disneyland so we were there a lot. Back in the 1970s all the way through the early 1990s we spent many days, weekends and even after school at Disneyland and the Disneyland Hotel. Lots of memories weren’t captured on film, but they live vividly in my mind. I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood filled with wholesome, creative, imaginative fun!

Dad always sang around the house. It was either “The Bare Necessities” from Jungle Book, “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” from the Carousel of Progress or something from the America Sings soundtrack. He was always drawing with me and could draw and sketch so well. He drew Cinderella and Prince Charming for me to color, then cut them into paper dolls!

I grew up in musical theater and in 2012, I had a princess party business doing local events at the community centers, hospitals, libraries and summer camp; as well as private birthday parties. I started blogging in 2017, documenting more current trips to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and a lot of vintage Disney.

In addition to blogging, I have a YouTube channel and cosplay many beloved Disney characters.
