About the Podcast

Episode Types

Interview

Our first type of show is mostly about our interviewee. We’ll ask questions about what they do and their love of Disney, as this podcast is related to Disney specifically. These shows also feature some games we like to play with our guest. We may give some news or updates from time to time.

The guests we interview need to have a love for Disney and either are creative, like minded, follow podcaster or vlogger or have a connection to Disney itself, that being a cast member, Imagineer, author, etc.

Concilium

Our Concilium show is like a round table discussion, where we will usually chat about one subject or topic that’s in the news or of interest at the time of recording, or maybe I should say live, as we’ve been live streaming these shows, which is so much fun and allows for greater interaction with viewers like you.

A “Concilium” is like a council or meeting, so we thought this was a great name for this type of show, plus it’s sort of fitting within our theme of magic, wizards and sorcerers as in earlier times they would have “grand conciliums” or “councils,” where they met to discuss things.

Episode Features

During our interview shows, we participate in the following activities with our guest…

A Magic Hearing

We ask our guest about their favorite Disney music, sound or quote from a movie, show or attraction. We call this A Magic Hearing, and when you say it altogether, it almost sounds like Imagineering!

BrewSky Rectify

We play a game we call, BrewSky Rectify, where our guest and ourselves will spin a wheel to select an attraction or restaurant which we have to re-imagine it and somehow make it better. BrewSky is a take on blue-sky, in terms of imagineering, it means the sky’s the limit when it comes to your imagination.

Because its called “brew” sky, and because we wanted to do something fun, we ask that you join along with us by grabbing your favorite beverage, and if we drink during the show, you drink! Now, you can drink anything you’d like, but clearly, we’re suggesting something a bit stronger. Please drink responsibly!

Disney OnFoot

We used to share more Disney news on our interview shows, but time was limited and so many other podcasts or YouTube channels share the news as well, so we felt like we were not providing any service to our listeners with glancing over some news. We decided instead, to focus on one major topic and devote an entire show to it. This became our Concilium show.

Episode Numbering

Because both types of shows are on the same podcast, numbering each episode in continuation while still having a separate count for each type, seemed like it could get a bit confusing. So each year will start a new season, for example, S1. Then the total episode count, EP1. Finally the show episode count, and here’s where it differs.. for the interview shows we’ll have IV1 and for Concilium, we’ll have C1.

So, for example, S1.EP1.IV1 (for an interview show) and S1.EP2.C1 (for Concilium), then S1.EP3.IV2 and S1.EP4.C2, if that makes sense. And now that we’ve started season 2, the episode numbers will continue to increment but the show numbers like C1 or IV2 will reset.
